Media is always been my center of attraction. This pomp and
show always fascinates me and hence I always wanted to enter in this field.
Well today (22-4-16) it was a fashion show for the first time ever in the
history of Faisalabad. I attended the show as a media coverage person and this
was my first event as a blogger as my blogger friend motivated me to start blogging
as well.
So I went there by 7.30 which was the exact time for the red
carpet to begin. The event was organized in Sarena Hotel Faisalabad by Amir
Malik. He is really a nice man. The show was sponsored by Allied Bank and
co-sponsored by Chen One. There was a huge crowd which seriously I wasn’t
expecting because here is no such trend like this to attend expos or fashion
shows. Malik has taken a very risky trend setting initiative (thumbs up Malik).
The arrangement was very good. The theme of the show was the symbol of love,
yes, Taj Mahal. “Just because of the set the show was arranged in open area of
Sarena” said the organizer Aamir Malik. The music system was great and the
music that was being played was awesome after all it was played by Dj Butt
*wink*. As it was quite hot today so they have arranged the fans and I didn’t
feel the hot weather.
Now coming to the show, well the show was scheduled to start
at 7.30 and would end by 10.30. But un-fortunately it started at 10 of after it
(Pakistani system) *hhuuuhh*. The red carpet was just good. Some models were
really co-operative in giving their interviews and views regarding the show but
there were some models who were showing some attitude, why no one knows. The
female host on red carpet was pathetic, seriously pathetic. I mean if you are
not good in speaking English switch to your native language, no one will twist
your arm to speak in English. It seemed like she had memorized few lines and
her pronunciation OMG was hilarious. Well, forget about it, that much bad thing
is OK, right? *wink*.
The stage’s back ground was good, the lighting was great. There
were many renowned designers of Pakistan who show cased there brilliant work. The
show was opened by Deepak Parwani also known as Depo. I personally like that
person, very decent personality he has. His collection was very outstanding. He
show cased purely formal dresses or wedding wears we could say. Very elegant
yet eye catching collection was that.
The cuts and the colors were really very cool. As far as the dresses of
females are concern he came up with very soft and light colors (pinks, peach,
beiges). In 1 or 2 of his dresses he used the dupata of dark color in the shade
of red. But on the other side if we talk about men’s formal wear he introduced dark
colors like dark blue, black, maroon, purple with golden work. Overall his
collection was awesome the combination of lights and darks.
After Parwani it was
Pareesa Lawn by Chen One (the co-sponsors of the show). Their collection was
also very good. They have introduced the a bit short shirts (a bit above the
knees). The collection comprises of soft colors as it was lawn collection which
is to be worn in summers and in summers people like to wear light colors. The
designs were very nice.
Then it was Monarchy, they show cased men’s wear. From
sherwanis to casual suiting. Handsomely carried by the talented models.
Then it was the turn of The Rising Talent, designers of Iqra
University and FITFD, well they show cased very trendy western clothing.
Starting from the short to the long flares. Old classical English to anomalous
western wear. The props were awesome. Good luck to all the emerging designers
of Pakistan.
Then it came Ahmed Bilal, again he also show cased formal
wear. His collection was very glittery as it was formal wears. His women’s wear
were outstanding he experimented with the combination of different colors like
skin with peach, grey with orange and a shade between pink and red. I must say
he is the man who knows how to play with colors. His men’s wear were not that
good as compared to women’s. Even his men’s wear were looking like women’s wear:
P
The show was closed by Nadia Couture there dresses were very
limited but all had different shade in them. Again it was formal wear of
ladies.
I really appreciate the efforts of the make-up artist, the
back stage team and every single person who were not on the fore front but
without them the show couldn’t be that much successful. By the end scrumptious
dinner was severed that was also from the kitchen of Sarena. At last I would
really like to appreciate with a salute to Mr. Aamir Malik who took a very big
yet turn taking step for Faisalabad. His name will always been written in
golden words whenever it will come to organize that much big event in
Faisalabad, at least. I know it is a very tough yet hectic job to organize that
much big event in a city where no one had ever tried to think of it. Malik’s
efforts and hard work was clearly seen over there, as the show was a big hit
without any hustle and bustle. Overall it was outstanding thumbs up to Malik
and his team. Best wishes from my side.
I hope more organizers would now consider Faisalabad to
conduct such big hits in near future, Inshallah.
Stay blessed,
Ciao.
